Rainbow Gummy Tequila Pops
Ingredients:
– 1 cup tequila
– 1 cup water
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 package (3 oz) flavored gelatin (various colors)
– 1/4 cup gummy candies (rainbow variety)
– 1 tablespoon lime juice
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– Ice pop molds
– Sticks for pops
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the water and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Once cooled, mix in the tequila, lime juice, and lemon juice.
3. Pour the mixture evenly into separate bowls, one for each flavored gelatin color.
4. Add the gelatin powder to each bowl, whisking until fully dissolved.
5. Begin layering the gelatin mixtures in the ice pop molds, starting with the first color and allowing it to set in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until slightly firm.
6. Once the first layer is set, add a layer of gummy candies, pressing them gently into the mixture.
7. Continue to layer the remaining colors in the same manner, allowing each layer to set for 30 minutes before adding the next.
8. After all layers are filled, insert the sticks and freeze the pops for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.
9. To serve, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds to help release the pops.
