Cracked Out Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or sausage, if preferred)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
1/4 cup sliced green onions (optional)

Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook the Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef (or sausage) over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Mix the Casserole Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the cooked meat with the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Casserole: Spread the meat mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Top with a layer of frozen tater tots, arranging them in a single layer.
Top with Cheese and Bacon: Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots. If using, add the bacon bits on top as well.
Bake: Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, garnish with sliced green onions, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
