One-Hour Cinnamon Rolls
Delicious cinnamon rolls that are soft and ready in just one hour! A light and airy dough, a cinnamon-sugar filling, and a creamy glaze for a pure indulgence.
Ingredients
For the Dough:
1 cup warm milk (110°F / 45°C)
2 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
¼ cup melted butter
½ teaspoon salt
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
For the Cinnamon Filling:
½ cup softened butter
¾ cup brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
In a bowl, mix together the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the egg, melted butter, salt, and gradually mix in the flour.
Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it’s smooth and soft. Cover and let it rise for 15 minutes.
2. Prepare the Cinnamon Filling
In a bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
3. Form the Rolls
Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a 35×25 cm (14×10 inch) rectangle.
Spread the cinnamon filling evenly across the surface.
Roll the dough into a tight log and cut it into 12 equal pieces.
4. Baking
Place the rolls into a greased pan. Cover and let them rise for 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
5. Prepare the Glaze & Serve
Mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle over the warm rolls.
Serve immediately!

Need to speed it up? Let the dough rise in a turned-off but slightly warm oven.
Want more indulgence? Add pecans or raisins.
Want a richer glaze? Substitute the milk with melted cream cheese.
