Cherry Pie Bombs Recipe
Ingredients:
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 large biscuits)
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prepare the Biscuit Dough:
Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a round disk using your hands or a rolling pin.
Add the Cherry Filling:
Place a spoonful of cherry pie filling (about 2-3 cherries with some filling) in the center of each flattened biscuit.
Seal the Pie Bombs:
Carefully fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the cherry filling and pinch them together to seal. Roll the sealed biscuit into a ball and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar:
In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together.
Coat the Pie Bombs:
Brush the melted butter over each biscuit ball. Roll each buttered biscuit ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
Bake:
Place the coated biscuit balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the Cherry Pie Bombs cool slightly before serving. They can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
